The promise: every Hood's traits are dealt from the sealed seed and never changed by us. Later, holders may be able to change their own Hood through actions they take, such as using items earned with other collections, and every such change will be a public transaction on the chain.

How the traits are dealt
Each Hood's look is keccak256(salt, drand, id) fed into an on-chain renderer. The salt is ours and sealed: its hash is published before launch, the salt itself after the last Hood is sold. The drand value is a public random beacon from a round named before launch, published by a league of universities and companies, which nobody can predict. Neither we nor they could steer a single Hood, and anyone can check every deal.

Everything below is what we are doing and why, written before the launch so it can be held against us afterwards. Nothing here is a promise of price. It is a description of a machine.
The mint is a curve
4663 Hoods launches on staccpad's Number Go Up factory, the same contract family as denobodies. There is no batch mint and no allowlist. The contract sells Hoods one at a time, and every sale sets the next price a little higher, 0.05 percent per Hood. Ninety percent of every purchase goes into a vault held by the contract. The floor is that vault divided by the Hoods alive, and any holder can sell a Hood back to the contract at the floor minus 6 percent, any time, no buyer needed. Buy and sell straight back and you lose about 15 percent, by design.

Our 150
The launch mints 150 Hoods to us. We pay for them: 0.015 ETH goes into the vault with the launch, so the floor starts at the full base price from token one. The factory would let a creator seed for free, which would leave the first buyers standing on an empty vault. We do not do that, and the launch script we use refuses to.
How a Hood gets its look
Each Hood is drawn by a contract on Robinhood Chain from a 32-byte seed. The seed is keccak256(salt, drand, id): our sealed salt, whose hash is published before launch and which itself is published after the last Hood sells; the value of a public drand random beacon round named before launch, published by the League of Entropy and predictable by nobody; and the Hood's id. We could not pick a salt knowing the beacon, and the beacon could not know our salt. After sell-out anyone can recompute all 4,663 and compare.
Unminted ids return a blank placeholder, never a preview, so there is no waiting for a good one. The only way to learn what a Hood is, is to buy it.
Where the art lives
The renderer, with every trait table and every rectangle, is a contract on chain, verified so anyone can read it. The metadata is served from this site so marketplaces can read it, and it only ever calls that contract. If this site vanished, the art would still be on the chain and anyone could serve it again.
The tribute
The colour is #CCFF00. It is the background, the hood, the shades, the halo, the pin and the chart line. The Chart Only Up background is a line that only rises. This collection exists because stacc built the machine it runs on and the CCFF00 collection made the colour mean something.
What we will never do
- Change a Hood's dealt traits. The salt and the beacon fix them, and the renderer is immutable.
- Ask for an approval on your squares or your Hoods for any event we run.
- Seed for free or mint outside the curve.
- Promise a price. The curve is public; read it.
Unaudited contracts by staccpad run the curve. Do not put in what you cannot lose.
Potions, after launch
The first event once the Hoods exist. Every #CCFF00 square gets one roll at a CCFF00 potion, tracked here so anyone can see which squares are fresh and which have rolled. A potion is yours: hold it, sell it, or use it on a Hood you own to add a CCFF00 piece, never a duplicate. Other collections are invited to bring their own potion traits, one roll per token id.
How a roll works
Two doors, you pay your own cent either way
- Direct. The wallet holding the squares rolls them, any number in one transaction. Three hundred squares with two hundred wins is about 3 million gas, under a dollar today. Potions land in the same wallet.
- Signed. The holding wallet signs a message: which squares, which wallet should receive the potions, and a deadline. That is a signature, not a transaction: it moves nothing and approves nothing. The receiving wallet submits it and pays the gas. The contract checks the signature, checks the signer still owns every square, marks them used, and mints to the wallet you named.
The rules
- One roll per square, ever. The used list is public and shown here.
- Outcomes are dealt from a sealed salt and a public beacon, like the Hoods. Odds and the commitment go public before the first roll; the salt at season end.
- Nothing is created until a roll executes. An unsubmitted signature leaves the square fresh and expires on its own.
- Using a potion on a Hood draws only from pieces that Hood does not have. A Hood with every piece is complete.
- Other collections can join: their token ids get one roll each at their own potion, with traits drawn for their collection.

What is a Hood?
A 24 by 24 pixel character in the Punks and Nouns tradition, drawn by a contract on Robinhood Chain from eight traits: background, skin, hood, eyes, eyewear, mouth, hat and gear. 4,663 of them, ever.
How do I get one?
When the mint opens, connect a wallet on Robinhood Chain on the Mint tab and buy from the curve. No allowlist, nothing to claim, no waiting. The price you see is the price you pay, plus about a cent of gas.
What does "a curve that only goes up" mean?
Every Hood sold makes the next one 0.05 percent more expensive. Ninety percent of each purchase goes into a vault, and the floor is the vault divided by the Hoods alive. Sales into the vault keep a 6 percent exit fee, so the floor can only rise.
Can I sell a Hood back?
Yes, any time, straight to the contract, for the floor minus 6 percent. No buyer needed. You can also list it on OpenSea like any NFT.
What happens if I buy and sell right away?
You lose about 15 percent. That is written into the contract and is the cost of the floor existing at all.
Can I see what a Hood looks like before I buy it?
No. Unminted ids return a blank placeholder. The look is dealt the moment it is minted, from a sealed seed and a public random beacon. Nobody, including us, can know it earlier.
How do I know the team did not keep the good ones?
Our 150 are ids 0 to 149 and their traits come from the same rule as yours: a salt whose hash was published before launch, plus a drand beacon round named before launch and fixed after. We could not have chosen a salt knowing the beacon. After sell-out the salt is published and anyone can recompute every Hood.
Is the art really on chain?
The renderer contract holds every trait and every rectangle and draws the SVG on demand. This site serves the metadata so OpenSea and wallets can read it, and only ever calls that contract. Verified source, readable by anyone.
Will it be on OpenSea?
Yes. OpenSea indexes Robinhood Chain on its own; the collection appears once it exists, with traits and rarity.
What are potions?
The first event after launch. Every #CCFF00 square gets one roll at a CCFF00 potion. A potion is a token you hold, sell, or use on a Hood you own to add a CCFF00 piece, never a duplicate. The Potions tab has the full plan.
Do I have to roll from the wallet that holds my CCFF00?
No. You can sign a message with that wallet, which moves nothing and approves nothing, and let any other wallet you name submit the roll and receive the potions. The wallet that submits pays the gas, about a cent.
Does anything ever ask for approvals on my squares or Hoods?
No, and it never will. Nothing we build can move your tokens.
Is this audited?
No. The curve contracts are staccpad's and are unaudited, as their site says. Our renderer is verified and tested against the reference art on every possible combination, but tested is not audited. Do not put in what you cannot lose.
What is #CCFF00?
A colour, a collection on Robinhood Chain, and the reason this exists. Every Hood carries it somewhere.
